Robots Rub the Right Way

The soft rotund wheels carry the glistening cherry-colored metal swiftly over her quivering torso with the deft ease of human hands as its keenly designed rotor finger flickers over her skin eliciting…

Whoa whoa whoa. Is this a tawdry romance novel? No, sadly, this is not Rebecca and the Space Age Stallion. Rather, it is a robotic massaging product from DreamBots. Apparently, these days, romance novels and robot ads are one and the same.

The DreamBots’ WheeMe is a massaging robot that, so far, has been the most suggestively advertised on the market. The manufacturer’s website does a pretty good job of making it clear. It sounds like this book I once read entitled… well, it was sort of forgettable.

As a palm-sized robot (that’s your first clue) that gently massages your body as it automatically steers itself across your flesh (second clue), the WheeMe (third clue) employs unique sensor technology that enables the device to massage you without falling off your body. With four wheels and a rotor finger (you thought I was kidding), the WheeMe provides a “delightful sense of bodily pleasure.” DreamBots’ words, not mine.

The gentle purring of the whirring wheels descended upon her flesh with the silky touch of its genius design as the tender tilt sensor technology sent glorious vibrations throughout her succumbing body…

Sorry.

The new massaging robot from DreamBots is available for preorder and will begin shipping in the Spring of 2011.
