In a recent press release, Yingli Green Energy, one of the world’s largest vertically integrated photovoltaic manufacturers recently announced that it selected Reis Robotics to deliver its latest technology equipment and install key technology components.

Recording an annual production capacity of 1GW, Yingli Green Energy is a leading solar energy company and one of the world’s largest vertically integrated photovoltaic manufacturers. The company is committed to the application of cutting edge technology in its manufacturing.

In this context it comes as no surprise that Yingli chosen Reis Robotics, which boasts of close to 100 installed production lines. When it comes to supplying and commissioning equipment to manufacture solar modules specially focused on high tech and automation applications, Reis Robotics is a name to be reckoned with.

In the release, Yingli noted that  its first annual supplier’s meeting was organized in Baoding on Nov. 1. During the meeting, Reis Robotics was awarded as one of the most performing and reliable suppliers in 2010.

It should b mentioned that the solar division of Reis Robotics supplied equipment to the Baoding and Hainan factories which was commissioned in total accordance to the schedule defined in advance by both parties.

Yingli officials noted that this selection reflects the company’s strategy to manufacture solar modules complying with the highest quality standards by using technologically leading equipment.

Zheng, vice president of Yingli congratulated Dr. M. Wenzel, managing director of the Reis Group Holding, during his visit in Baoding and confirmed the performance of the installed equipment.

According to Yingli, the successful commissioning of the equipment was exemplary to the spirit of confidence and cooperation between Yingli and Reis. Activities like this, the company hopes, will allow it to demonstrate its will and capacity to manufacture high quality solar modules with cutting edge technologies.

Earlier this month Applied Materials (News - Alert), Inc. announced that Yingli Green Energy granted Applied its "Special Contribution Award" for excellence in optimizing the efficiency and productivity of Yingli's solar photovoltaic (PV) cell manufacturing operations in Baoding, Hebei province, China.

Applied Materials was one of only two equipment manufacturers among Yingli's 200 suppliers to win this prestigious award. This was the highest honor given to Yingli's business partners during its 1st Supplier Conference held recently in Baoding, China.
