USRobotics Unveils New USRobotics 56K USB Soft Modem

USRobotics, a premier provider of reliable, easy-to-use, high-performance dial-up modems for the home and home-office, recently introduced the new USRobotics 56K USB Soft Modem.

The compact USB modem is ideal for mobile users and point-of-sale solutions, featuring plug and play installation and a projected retail price point under $30.

The USRobotics USB Softmodem is ideal for customers with point-of-sale or machine-to-machine systems that require a compact dial-up fax modem, Bruce Swail, CEO at USRobotics, said in a statement.

“Ultimately, the goal of the USB Softmodem is to deliver functionality and reliability for our customers in a more practical size.”

“The Softmodem is bus-powered; there’s no need for an outside power source, so we are able to offer a fax modem that is both compact and cost effective, making it easy to be incorporated into a wide range of data transfer solutions throughout North America and Europe,” he added.

The Softmodem’s Plug and Play installation is optimal for businesses with a high volume of varied computer systems. The modem is capable of sending and receiving faxes through the computer while concurrently running multiple applications. This allows preferred modem default settings to be permanently stored, and includes ring detection and qualification which eliminates unintended wake-on-ring events.

The low cost and small size of the modem makes it the ultimate tool for both the large and small-scale businesses. It can be used on laptop and desktop and is compatible with V.92.

The system also supports most dial up standards and its Quick Connect feature helps it to reduce the time it takes to establish a standard dial-up Internet connection to send attachments up to 50 percent faster.

The USRobotics USB Softmodem has been approved for applications in the US, Canada, and Europe.

USRobotics has also announced the launch of three new tablet stands and two new wireless Bluetooth keyboards.
