With the growing popularity of robotics in technology realm, ABB has partnered with Andy Flessas to provide RoboScreen function on a larger scale.
ABB, provider of power and automation technologies with over 200,000 ABB robots installed worldwide, will now deliver RoboScreen for entertainment and commercial use. Andy Flessas, or andyRobot, holds a number of patents for RoboScreen which uses a graphical screen mounted to the arm of an ABB articulated arm robot to create a particular viewer experience.
"andyRobot is clearly the master visionary in the application of industrial robots for entertainment and commercial sectors," said Bertil Thorvaldsson, global software products manager for ABB Robotics. "We were delighted to collaborate with him on the development of the new PowerPac software products and are excited about the further innovation they will allow in cultivating these emerging applications."
RoboScreen delivers a unique experience to viewers by bringing virtually unlimited, six-axis movement to the video media. RoboScreen comes with two dedicated software plug-ins with a mixing board option. It also comes in various sizes offering customers with more flexibility, allowing the creative juices to start flowing.
RoboScreen has previously toured the world on the Bon Jovi Circle Tour. During the tour, the screens were able to show their capabilities as it grooved and moved to the beat of the music, displayed real-time video and pre-produced animations and assembled into several different formations.
RoboScreen has the flexibility to be used in multiple different venues and fashions including live events like the Bon Jovi tour, retail robotics for interactive advertising for customers, kinetic architecture and night clubs or sports bars
